There are two international airports: Luis Munoz Marin, commonly known as San Juan International Airport (SJU) located in the municipality of Carolina on the North East Coast of Puerto Rico.  Rafael Hernandez Airport is located in the municipality of Aguadilla on the North West Coast of Puerto Rico.  Puerto Rico offers daily flights year-round from many major cities in the United States as well as international.  Flight rates vary greatly depending on the travel season, the day of the week you’re traveling, and the airport you choose.

• Location: Commonly called San Juan Airport, most people think it is located in San Juan.  The location is actually in the district of Isla Verde, part of the municipality of Carolina, just minutes east of San Juan.

If you wish to spend your vacation on the west coast of Puerto Rico, you can fly into the Aguadilla airport.  Even if you are not staying on the west coast, you can find inexpensive flights deals, some are red eye, so it may be worth checking into if you’re on a budget.  The short lines and quick check-in process are two great benefits of flying into the Aguadilla Airport.

The Airport offers very low fares to the offshore islands of Vieques and Culebra.  There are also daily flights to some of the US Virgin Islands. The Ceiba Airport is located on 124 acres of the former Roosevelt Roads Naval Base in the municipality of Ceiba, Puerto Rico.
