- La Playita del Condado in San Juan – Family friendly beach with shallow water.
 - Playa Escambron in San Juan – Not safe during a storm surge.
 - La Posita in Piñones – Loiza – Not safe during a storm surge.
 - Playa Sardinera – Hatillo, PR – Not safe during a storm surge
 - Mar Chiquita – Manati, PR – Best during summer months. Not safe during a storm surge.

- Playa Flamenco in Culebra – East Side
 - Playa Tamarindo – Excellent snorkeling, a protected cove with calm water

 - Balneario de Boqueron – Cabo Rojo, PR

 - Crashboat Beach, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico—Aguadilla, PR – Safe only during good weather. It is not safe when the surf is high, and strong waves suddenly come and surprise swimmers.
 - Playa Peña – Aguadilla, PR (summer months only)
 - Pozo de Teodoro – Isabela, Puerto Rico – Not safe during a storm surge.
